It is commonly thought that the crucifixion heralded the physical death of Jesus. The purpose of this blog is give an alternative view of what the crucifixion symbolises

Firstly, note that in all, if not most pictures, carvings and statues, Jesus is depicted as having nails through the palms. In actual crucifixion, nails were obviously put through the wrists so why show them as piercing the palms? It could be said that it's an artist expression of the opening of the palm chakras and the healing hands.
The Crown of Thorns- "according to the New Testament, a woven crown of thorns was placed on the head of Jesus during the events leading up to his crucifixion. It was one of the instruments of the Passion, employed by Jesus' captors both to cause him pain and to mock his claim of authority." An alternative explanation of what this symbolises would be the opening of the Crown Chakra on the top of the head, said to feel like a thousand pins and reconnects the aspirant or adept to Divine Consciousness and Truth. It is the "Halo" of the Saints. - the Second Birth (twice born) or "Enlightenment" event in the life of Jesus; an △lchemical marriage of Soul & Spirit leading to Union with the Divine - not death of the physical organism.

The Spear of Destiny, The Holy Lance, also known as the Lance of Longinus or Holy Spear, it is the lance that supposedly pierced the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross during the crucifixion. A Holy Spear, Sword or Lance is a common thread throughout the ages and is always associated with a male hero. It signifies the awakened spine and thus the piercing of the veil leading to the opening of the Crown Chakra. A 3 day event of epic struggle and pain for the adept with transferences of consciousness and rebirth into a higher state of being. We can see similarities with Arthur's Excalibur and Lugh's Spear- "Only he who is of pure heart can pull the Sword from the Stone."
This 3 day intense awakening culminates in the"appearance" of the Eastern Star in the local sky and the arrival of 3 advanced Spiritual Masters. The adept, in this case Jesus, leaves his body and is with these mighty beings in subtler realms, where he experiences all of his life times as he dies whilst still alive. Instead of passing over to the other side, he returns to his body as "Twice Born", or born again and the Wise Men leave.

Krishna and other Indian Gods are also depicted on a cross.
The Cross also symbolised the crossing out - of the I and so the ending of the self or ego that is separate and hence union with all that is. When you draw the cross over your heart, first you scribe the "I" and then you cross it out to symbolise no division. If a man lives a certain way up until full manhood between the ages of 28-35, he may also experience a degree of physical sensitizing/kundalini. Best case scenario being complete dissolution of the self and union with the "Divine". Guaranteed when this is a direct messenger from the source. It has been said that the Maitreya Christ comes every two thousand years, whilst other Brothers in The Great White Brotherhood, appear every 500 years in between that.
The philosophy expounded by these Spiritual Masters would be the Perrenial Wisdom and is always similar in a same but none same way. It is also called, to name a few, The Great Negation, Wei Wu Wei and La Vie Negative.
